Zoya Magical PixieDust Trio Swatches and Review

Zoya recently released three new PixieDust polishes!

The Magical PixieDust Collection!

Zoya describes them as a new PixieDust formula amped up with a spectacular sparkle, creating the most magical Zoya PixieDust ever.

·Cosmo - a silver crystal sparkle.
·Vega - a blue opal sparkle.
·Lux - a rose quartz sparkle.

All three are full coverage and contain medium and small hexagonal holographic glitter.

I found the formula to be really nice. Neither too thick nor thin. I did find that the chunkier glittery can make the second layer of polish go on patchy if your brush isn't loaded with enough polish though.

Once these are dry they are very textured, but not to the point of being scratchy or catching on anything. I do think they are more textured than the rest of the PixieDust polishes.

The finish of these is very sparkly and beautiful! They are even prettier in person than they appear in the pictures. I wish I could capture exactly how sparkly they are for you.

I do recommend using the foil method to remove these, as they take awhile to get off otherwise.

Overall, I really love these! I hope they make more colors with this formula because I could see this looking amazing in some bright and dark colors.

Each of these polishes can be purchased from www.Zoya.com for $10 each (or by clicking each polish name above.) Or as a set of all three for $30 (HERE).

Zoya's Fall 2013 PixieDust Collection (SWATCH HEAVY)

Today I have the new Fall 2013 PixieDusts for you!

This collection consists of 6 new matte, sparkling, metallic polishes in Zoya's exclusive PixieDust formula.

The colors in this collection are:

1. Tomoko- champagne silver.
2. Carter- Royal purple.
3. Sunshine- "Van Gogh" navy blue.
4. Dhara- fiery orange copper.
5. Arabella- fuchsia pink.
6. Chita- forest green.

Each of these polishes are listed as a 4 on the opacity scale (1=sheer, 5=completely opaque). I found that the majority of them were very pigmented and completely opaque in 2-3 thin coats. Some of them were so pigmented that they appeared opaque in 1 coat. Tomoko and Carter were more sheer than the others. Carter was very sheer with one coat, but thankfully once the second coat went on it built up pigmentation quickly and was completely opaque in 3 coats. Tomoko was the most sheer of the group and still seemed to be slightly see through even after 3 coats. I think that a fourth thin coat would have taken Tomoko to complete opacity.

For more information on the best way to apply the PixieDust polishes please see this post (HERE).

Each of the PixieDust polishes can be purchased at www.zoya.com, or by clicking the name of each polish listed above, for $9 each, or as a collection of 6 for $54.
