Today I have Zoya's
Burke for you! Burke is described by Zoya as a soft, dusty, light red mulberry with very subtle brick and mauve tones. I can definitely see the brick tones in it. It looks a lot more berry-ish on the website, than it does in person though.
I have to admit, and this is something that I have rarely said about a Zoya polish. This is one polish that I am just not impressed by. I think it has more to do with the formula than the actual color. The formula goes on a little patchy. You can't see it so much in the pictures, but it is definitely noticeable in person. It has decent opacity when it is even, but the formula is thick and seemed to start to get dry and a little tacky very quickly. That made it hard to get the coat on evenly. I ended up doing three coats and I still wasn't happy with it. I can see through some spots of the polish, while it's thicker in other areas, which makes it darker. Overall, I just wasn't impressed.
There is hope though, I have the
Zoya Nail Polish Rejuvenator, so I am going to try adding some of that to it the next time I use it and see if it helps. I also want to add in that it may just be my bottle that is thick. I have had multiples of polishes before and experienced one bottle being thicker/thinner than the other.
My final thought would be that I do really love the color, but I did not like the formula at all.
